The Hudson Valley SPCA has been saving the lives of animals for three years now, and we have reached a critical crossroad in our existence. We are writing this letter to clarify the mission and function of The Hudson Valley SPCA, and also bring attention to the constant challenges we face in order to continue to save lives.
The Hudson Valley SPCA is not funded by any federal, state or municipal monies. We are funded solely by the generosity of the caring members of our community.
We are not affiliated with the ASPCA; at this time we receive no funding from them or any other organization. We exist only because the community is willing to support our work.
We DO respond to calls from the public. When they reported a dog left dying and emaciated, alone and in pain, in the frigid winter weather, we were her only hope.
We responded to the poor cat who had been hit by a car and left with a crushed skull. He was slowly dying for two days in the rain until someone called the HVSPCA.
We DO investigate and prosecute people who leave their horses out in the elements for years, without sufficient food, water or medical care.
The Hudson Valley SPCA is asking the people of this community to show your support today by sending your donation to:
HVSPCA 940 Little Britain Rd New Windsor, NY 12553www.hvspca.org
Your response to this plea is CRITICAL, we exist only because you care enough to know that all animals deserve to be treated well, and when they are not, there should be someone to call. One thing is for sure: If we do not have the funds to operate, we will not be here to help and there will be NO MORE happy endings.
