A home for the holidays

Meet zues.  Zues was adopted last december by the Wolfert family after he was found abandoned on the streets.  We here from his family on a regular basis and wanted to share with all our friends how wonderful Zues is doing.  This year in his adoption anniversary his family is throwing Zues a doggie bday party complete with cake hats and party guests! Zues is the star of his familys online doggie apparel business (http://northernwolfwear.webs.com) where he loves to dress up (and ham it up) for the camera.  When not posing Zues spends his days chasing squirrels,  riding the ATV, and napping by the fire! 
We thank the Wolfert family for opening their home and their hearts to Zues!

Christophers Bistro Fundraiser a Huge Success

Everyone at the Hudson Valley SPCA would like to thank Christopher Moccio & Katie Vanderbush who hosted the super successful fundraiser on October 6th at Christophers Bistro.  They opened their doors from 5-10pm (even keeping the kitchen open an extra hour) and donated 20% of all sales to help the animals at the HVSPCA.  In addition, they collected a tremendous amount of food, blankets and litter donations.  A special thank you to April Anderson, for organzing and setting up the entire event.  Thank you so much guys and we can’t wait for next year!

Amylou and cutie

Hi everybody! I know its been a while but we wanted to let everyone know how wonderfully Cutie is doing! She is settled in her forever home, and loving life! We all thank you for your outpouring of support and concern!

Amy is resting comfortably here at the HVSPCA awaiting her hip surgery.  Middlehope vet will be performing the surgery, she is tentatively scheduled for the middle of September, but we still need to raise more money for her surgery! Please help amylou walk and play!

Hi everybody! Thank you all for your tremendous support and donations of bedding for the dogs! Our washer is due to be fixed this week by Mr. Appliance who is generously donating his time and the parts!! We still need bedding if anyone has extras they are not using!
We are also in need of dry dog and cat food!  For cats we need Purina cat chow /kitten chow and for the dogs either Purina or pedigree! Thank you to everyone for your tremendous support!

Guardian Self Storage has extended the pet food drive!

Guardian Self Storage on Route 300 next to Wal-mart has extended their pet food drive for the Hudson Valley SPCA!  Come by Saturday August 20th 12-4pm for our Adopt-a-thon!  Bring Donations, Meet some of our wonderful dogs and enjoy a sunny afternoon!
